Available on Android of iPhone, our race weekend app will be our mobile point of contact with up to 50K runners and spectators alike leading up to and throughout race weekend, and will power our live runner tracking during the event. The average user will spend a minimum of 20 minutes on the app during each visit and received 85,000 push notifications – a highly engaged audience. In 2015 premium Ad spots enjoyed 26K impressions and 130K minutes of viewable time.

We are continuing our tradition of sharing a digital event bag with our race participants to help us produce a ‘GREEN’ event. Our 2015 Virtual Race Bag (VRB) was sent to 24,796 individuals three times through email. It had a spectacular 64.5% open rate and an average of 2.3 clicks per open. Our VRB partners saw as high as a 50% action rate.

Your placement can be a traditional discount offer, online store discount, educational information, or even simply advertise your services right inside the 2016 SF Marathon Virtual Race Bag. The VRB stays open for race participants to visit for a total of 60 days (it opens one week before the event).
